Health and Safety

Striving every day to provide a safe work environment for our employees is an integral component of Salisbury Poultry’s culture, and its day-to-day operations. Salisbury Poultry continuously monitors performance against key indicators to drive continues improvement towards the health and safety of its employees. The focus is around a reduction in incident frequency rate within the work environment.

Salisbury Poultry’s approach is to achieve set key indicators which will drive a culture around safety by:

  • empowering the employees with the introduction of health and safety representatives across the different business operations
  • monthly safety committee meetings with representation from the safety representatives and management
  • conduct regular internal health and safety compliance audits.
  • committed to working towards improving our Health & Safety Management System and are seeking to apply for ISO 45001 in the future.
  • since 2012 we have introduced the services of an Occupational Health service provider to implement an Occupational Health Programme
